Mount Cook, the highest mountain in New Zealand, sits high with 28 mountains in the alpine peaking at over 3,052 metres, and hundreds of others making up the famous Southern Alps. With everywhere we went in the village, we were immersed in the mountains. With every hike we did, we were surrounded by the the tallest peaks in the country.
