Not much to say here, except that I went to an All Blacks Game in New Zealand and I can check that off my list!
The All Blacks are the New Zealand national rugby union team that represent New Zealand in men’s rugby union, which is regarded as the country’s national sport. I’m not going to pretend like I know a lot, in fact, anything at all about rugby. However, I am so glad that I was able to see one of the greatest games of the season and check this off my New Zealand bucket list.
From what I’ve gathered, the All Blacks were back to their ruthless best against in Albany on Saturday night. They destroyed South Africa 57-0 in their first Rugby Championship encounter of 2017. Before halftime, they had a 31-0 lead. When all was said and done it was New Zealand with eight tries (kind of like touchdowns for American football) and 57-0 in the bag.
It was a great game to be a part of, but honestly, not quiet as thrilling as I’d hoped, considering they blew South Africa out of the water; there wasn’t much of a fight.
Sadly, the trip of my South Island friends has come to a close, and they will be heading back tomorrow. Stay tuned for my adventures during the last month that I am here in Auckland before hitting the South Island to join them!
