Sunday Surfing in Murawai

Last night at about 10pm, I just said, “screw it” and decided to go surfing regardless of the weather. I figured, only have one more weekend, so I might as well make the most of it.

Today, I took a surf lesson with one of my housemates Ally, and her two Dutch friends she met in her internship orientation. The four of us rented a car and drove out to Murawai beach to hit the waves for our Sunday regardless of rain or shine.

I mean, you’re already wet in the water anyways, so why does it matter if its raining. All I have to say is thank God for wetsuits! It was absolutely freezing before hand, but I wasn’t cold at all in the water.

The water was choppy, but I still stood up on 85% of the waves, which was a great feeling. It’s been a while since I surfed, but I guess I still got that Hawaiian in my veins.

Needless to say, I am so glad that I decided to go for it. I had an incredible time and made some new friends. I wish there was more time to go surfing again, but I guess I’ll just have to do it in another country.

kiss, kiss
